4th of July at Lost Lagoon

Paradise in El Campo

We spent the 4th at the new Lost Lagoon in El Campo, Texas. It was a blend of “glamping” and 4th traditions. Their resort style pool complete with swim up bar and lazy river has something for the whole family. As someone who spent her teen years working at Astroworld in Houston it was a flashback to see the authentic “Thunder River” sign at the entrance of the lazy river. If floating in the river is not your type of fun enjoy adult beverages at the swim up bar. Swimmers can enjoy a trip down one of the rock slides or swing from a rope right into the pool.

For the holiday there were plenty of activities, crafts, music, food and traditions like a golf cart parade and bike parade. My favorite was the extraordinary fireworks display. It really exceeded our expectations. With traditional patriotic music we enjoyed the display right poolside.

Now unlike most RV resorts you are not able to bring any food or drinks into the general areas. However, there is an abundance of choices of food and drink to enjoy, from daily food specials, a sports like grill with yummy favorites to two bars in the pool area “resorters” can enjoy a variety of choices. You can bring your “empty” insulated cups, to keep your beverages that you purchase cool. The management is consistently cleaning and keeping everything in order, which we loved. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Thanks Lost Lagoon we will be back.
